After a long wait, finally NVIDIA officially launched the Tegra chip quad-core 3 which was previously known by the name Kal-El.

The launch of the chipset that would later be adopted by both smartphones and tablets of this, not long after the introduction of the ASUS Eee Pad Transformer tablet Prime, which is the first device that comes with quad-core processor NVIDIA's Tegra 3 creations.

"Our next-generation Tegra processor is widely known as a quad-core mobile chips first in the world," said Matt Wuebbling, Senior Product Manager for NVIDIA, as quoted PULSAonline via TechRadar.

Tegra 3 microarsitektur based on ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore and the fourth core can run at speeds up to 1.3 GHz. Not only that, Tegra 3 also has a core of five (stealth) which can be used for basic tasks when the phone or tablet does not have a need for mendayai four main core.

Newest NVIDIA chips also have increased more than Tegra 2 in all sectors with increased processing, graphics, memory bandwidth, as well as video and audio support.

Tegra 3 has also been pinned on a brand new 12-core GPU is capable of delivering three times the graphics performance than the Tegra 2 and support for resolutions up to 2560 x 1600.

NVIDIA also says there are more than 15 games for Tegra 3 which is now under development. While 40 other games will be available on the Android app via Tegra Zone by the end of 2011.
